CHELSEA are planning an end-of-season move for Bayern Munichs Toni Kroos. They have been monitoring the 20-year-old midfielder
who made four substitute appearances for Germany in this summers World Cup for four years and are determined to get their man.
Kroos was wanted by Chelsea when he joined Bayern from Hansa Rostock at 16, but he chose to stay in Germany. Bayern sent him to
Bayer Leverkusen on loan last season but he is back in Munich now and his appearance in the Champions League last week means he
would be ineligible for Chelsea this season. (Sunday People)

Arsene Wenger is keeping tabs on Ajax defender Jan Vertonghen.Wenger has detailed his scouting network to watch Vertonghen and
Arsenal have spied on his last three games for Ajax. Belgian international Vertonghen, 23, has partnered Arsenal’s Thomas Vermaelen
in central defence for club and country. Wenger pulled off a brilliant signing with the 8m capture of Vermaelen from Ajax last year
and that connection has made Vertonghen’s development all the more interesting for Arsenal. Vertonghen can also operate in midfield
where he has played recently for Belgium and his form for Ajax has attracted scouts from Europes top clubs, including Juventus and
Barcelona. Vermaelen and Vertonghen get on well and the Ajax defender still speaks to his ex-team mate and even spoke recently he
would like the chance to play with again in the future at Arsenal. Vertonghen is under contract until 2013 but Ajax have recently
been forced to sell players to balance the books. (Daily Mirror)

Mark Schwarzer
Fulham are already lining up a replacement for Mark Schwarzer as they resign themselves to him joining
Arsenal. The Daily Star reports that the Cottagers have earmarked Crystal Palace goalkeeper Julian Speroni
as the man to fill the vacant number one jersey should Schwarzer depart for the Emirates in January.
Arsenal began their pursuit of the 37-year-old prior to the World Cup but - after a reported offer of
4 million for the Australian - a deal between the two clubs could not be reached.Schwarzer allegedly
told Fulham boss Mark Hughes that he wanted to join the Gunners in order to have a shot at Champions
League glory before he hangs up his gloves but a move away from Craven Cottage never materialised.
However, Arsene Wenger is understood to be ready to revive his interest in the former Middlesbrough stopper
when the transfer window reopens in the New Year as he looks to replace current first choice keeper Manuel
Almuina. (DAILY STAR)

Reports have surfaced that Wesley Sneijder has failed to agree a new deal with Inter Milan piquing the interest of Real Madrid and Manchester United.
The Dutch playmaker had a season to remember in 2009/10 winning every domestic trophy available in Italy before lifting the Champions League and scoring
five goals on the way to the Netherlands third World Cup final. But despite promises of a new improved contract, Sneijder’s agent Soren Lerby has revealed
that talks have broken down and that the player feels let down by the stance of the Nerazzurri. Financially we can't work out a deal, said Lerby.
Negotiations have been pulled off and will only be restarted if Inter will show an opening.

Christiano Ronaldo
Manchester United are being linked with a shock move for Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo. Madrid sources today reported United boss Sir
Alex Ferguson was weighing up a sensational 100 million offer to bring Ronaldo back to Old Trafford. With Real fans now booing Ronaldo and
Ferguson admitting he may have to buy big when the likes of Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes call time on their careers, the Spanish rumour mill
is buzzing this week of talk of a sensational offer. Ferguson has admitted already this year he would love to see Ronaldo back in United red
in the future. (Various Spanish Outlets)
Well well will Alex get his one trick pony back, he only won a Carling Cup without him.
Here is a recent letter sent from Ronaldo according to a dodgy website:
Dear Friends,
I felt the need to write you because my mind not really as good as should be right now. The future, only Gods knows, but I not a happy Cristiano.
I thought I would be happier in Madrid but the grass is not green enough. I make mistake of thinking it were greener. The fans here have begun to
boo me. Why? Why boo Cristiano? I remember when I first came to Manchester, I thought the fans were booing me, I was upset. Then Ruud came and told
me they shouting his name Ruud Ruud not Boo Boo but he doesnt play at Madrid anymore so it makes me sad to know its Boo Boo. For the World Cup I
looked forward much to being able to see Nani but then fate took that away from me too. Now Carlos is not the boss of Portugal and that is another
thing to make me sad (he tried to cheat like Ferguson but they catch him).
We Madrid have new boss, Jose Mourinho, he once said I have no brain. He now say he not mean that but if I believe him that would make me having no
brain true, no? I’m confused. He say it is all about team and not all Cristiano. I not know why such a man can be so mistaken and try to tell him truth
that it is Cristiano, Cristiano, Cristiano. He get mad and tell me to talk to Iker but Iker just keep show me his world cup medal and laughing. I remember
at Trafford when the fans sing ‘he play on the left, he play on the right’ and they would wave their hands from side to side. Here when people wave their
hands toward me they have white handkerchiefs. Gonzalo say they used to do it to him and it means they no happy. Well I no happy when they do that too.
I have that tune on my phone to make me smile when it ring. The others all laugh. I dream to come Madrid. I dream. Now I cannot sleep so no dream no more.
I have new son, he also Cristiano, he keeps crying. I think he upset for daddy.
I want to come home.

21 international but if reported interest results in an actual bid then the highly rated centre back may have
his head turned. (TALKSPORT)
Birmingham defender Scott Dann is allegedly subject to interest from Premier League rivals Liverpool and Manchester United. The Daily Express
reports that Liverpool boss Roy Hodgson is prepared to do battle with Manchester United counterpart Sir Alex Ferguson for the promising
23-year-olds signature in January. It is claimed that Hodgson is on the lookout for a new centre-back and has identified Dann - who was born

Houillier will want him, and will make an offer in the January Transfer window. (MUZOMETER)
Gerard Houllier has not ruled out the possibility of luring Manchester United striker Michael Owen to Aston Villa.
The Frenchman, who worked with the former Liverpool, Real Madrid and Newcastle United star at Anfield, will officially
begin work at Villa Park next week, after being confirmed as the permanent successor to Martin ONeill.
He has always been in my thoughts, Houllier told Canal+. I like him (Owen ), as a player and a man. I went to Liverpool on
September 4 for Jamie Carragher's testimonial and I saw Michael play a half of football. He still has the legs for it.Meanwhile,
Owen has hinted that he would welcome the chance to leave Old Trafford. The 30-year-old, who has not started a Premier League or
Champions League match since January, admitted: You can only do your best and prepare and train well, so that youre ready when the
manager calls on you. After that, its up to the manager who he chooses. It sounds easy, but probably the most difficult thing is
not playing for a couple of weeks and then all of a sudden getting called up and being mentally and physically right to perform well.
At the end of the season, Ill look and think, Was I happy with the amount of games I was available for? Did I score enough goals in
the games when I played? and Did I play well enough in those games? You look at highlights of the season, did we win anything, things
like that. But I wouldnt put any goal or appearance totals out there because, at a club like this, you never know when the manager is
going to use you.(CANAL+)

Jose Mourinho has told Real Madrid President Florentino Perez that he wants to bring both Gareth Bale and Aaron Lennon to The Bernabeau next season.
Mourinho and Perez have been shocked at the hostile reaction from the Real Madrid fans at how Real have been playing this season and have apparently
agreed that Tottenham’s flying wing men are the exact sort of players to bring back flair to the Spanish giants. It is not that Real Madrid have lost
but the manner in which they have ground out a goalless draw against Mallorca and a 1-0 home win over Osasuna that has so infuriated the fans, last
nights win over Ajax in the Champions League will have gone some way to appeasing the supporters but their patience is wafer thin at this time. It is
hard to believe that Tottenham manager, Harry Redknapp and the Chairman, Daniel Levy will willingly allowed the two players to leave, however once
Real Madrid want someone, they tend to get them, usually when a coach load of money is splashed out. It could easily be the case that that Spurs will
not be able to simply turn down mega offers for both players and it will be interesting to see if what is being rumoured in the Spanish media has any

that such a scenario was not on his mind: I am completely focused, I know what I want to do and what I have to do. My mind is centred on what happens on the pitch
which I enjoy. If I could not play football then I may worry, but while I still can here or wherever I can say I am happy. I am at a great club, in a great team
