Pre Match Review:
Chelsea's first test of the new season. Muzometer says DRAW.

Post Match Review:
Manchester City ended Chelseas flawless start to the Premier League season as Carlos Tevezs second-half solo goal settled a tense encounter at Eastlands. Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti took on his City counterpart and fellow Italian Roberto Mancini with the men from Stamford Bridge riding high on the back of five straight League wins and a flurry of goals. It was a golden sequence that had even Mancini predicting that Chelsea would cruise to the title again this season - but this meeting with big-spending City was also regarded as by far the biggest test of Ancelottis champions. And so it proved, as City stifled Chelseas attacking potency with fiercely-disciplined defence and close midfield attentions, offering encouragement to those hoping to take their crown away and allowing captain Tevez to spring the trap on the hour.

MUZOMETER PREDICTION: DRAW RESULT: MAN CITY. INCORRECT. TEVEZ scorer Correct.

Should be a stroll for Arsenal MUZOMETER says Arsenal.

Post Match Review:
West Brom capped an unforgettable week by outclassing Arsenal to secure a first away win in 19 top-flight games. Chris Brunt had a first- half penalty saved, but Peter Odemwingie later fired the opener from Jerome Thomass centre. Brunt fed Gonzalo Jara for the second, although Manuel Almunia should have saved his shot, and Thomas made it three after some dismal defending. Samir Nasri scored a late double for Arsenal, but it provided little consolation for boss Arsene Wenger. It was West Broms second major scalp in the space of four days following Wednesday nights Carling Cup victory over Manchester City, but that was a game contested by what effectively amounted to two reserve sides.

MUZOMETER PREDICTION: ARSENAL RESULT: WBA. INCORRECT. Odemwingie scorer Correct.

Pre Match Review:
Birmingham have been making a meal of their games lately. Muzometer says BIRMINGHAM.

Post Match Review:
Birmingham City extended the longest unbeaten home record in the top flight to one day short of a year as they fought out a goalless draw with Wigan.Wigans Hugo Rodallega and Citys Roger Johnson were booked after a flare-up before Johnson and Cameron Jerome came close to giving the hosts the lead. Jerome was denied by Ali Al Habsi in the best chance of the second half. Birminghams Craig Gardner was sent off for going over the top as he tried to tackle Franco Di Santo late on. There was plenty of endeavour but little cutting edge from either side at St Andrews, although Wigan will be delighted with a point that lifts them out of the bottom three.

MUZOMETER PREDICTION: BIRMINGHAM RESULT: DRAW. INCORRECT. NO scorers.

Pre Match Review:
Should be anteresting game, all about the BLACK country. MUZOMETER says DRAW.

Post Match Review:
Brett Emerton struck in injury time with his first Premier League goal for two years as Blackburn broke Blackpool hearts in a pulsating Lancashire derby. The visitors had gone in front through a soft own goal when Charlie Adam nodded into his own net as goalkeeper Matthew Gilks lost his footing. Blackpool hit back and substitute Matt Phillips scored on his Premier League debut with virtually his first touch. But substitute Emerton snatched the points with low shot into the corner. Defeat was exceptionally hard on the Seasiders, who poured forward in the second half and deserved something from an enthralling encounter, which was high on drama.

MUZOMETER PREDICTION: DRAW RESULT: BLACKBURN. INCORRECT. NO scorers.

Post Match Review:
Everton slumped to the bottom of table after this draw, but the visitors showed plenty of spirit and adventure. The Toffees only just shaded the first half and Mikel Artetas deftly struck shot was well saved by Mark Schwarzer. The Cottagers, who protected their unbeaten league record, upped the ante after the break and Everton keeper Tim Howard was drawn more into the action. Howard beat away a Clint Dempsey effort before Schwarzer rescued Fulham as he twice saved well from Nigerian Yakubu.

MUZOMETER PREDICTION: DRAW RESULT: DRAW. CORRECT. NO scorers.

MUZOMETER says LIVERPOOL. But the way Liverpool are playing at the moment I have a sneaky feeling this could be a draw.

Post Match Review:
5 minutes gone and it looks like Liverpool have got a reprieve for the Beach ball goal, Turner kicking the ball towards his keeper to take the free kick but Torres intercepts and the ref says play on he slides it to Kuyt to roll into an empty net. Bizarre. 1-0. 25 mins Penalty. Hand ball by Poulsen. Bent slams the pen under Reina 1-1. 26 mins Konchesky getting replaced with Agger. 48mins Bent makes it 1-2. Another disappointing day at Anfield. The reds scrape a 2-2 draw.

MUZOMETER says MAN UTD. But this is a tough away game for United. Gary Cahill suspended should be a big help to United.

Post Match Review:
Manchester United failed to capitalise on a defeat for Premier League leaders Chelsea as a Michael Owen goal rescued a draw for them at resolute Bolton. The home side went ahead when defender Zat Knight flicked in a corner only for Nani to end a powerful run with an angled strike to equalise. Martin Petrov restored Bolton's lead when he cut inside and had a shot deflected in off Darren Fletcher. Substitute Owen then glanced in a Nani free-kick to earn a point for United. (BBC)

MUZOMETER PREDICTION: MNA UTD RESULT: DRAW. INCORRECT. NO scorers.

Pre Match Review:
A Midlands derby, and this should actually be the first premiere league game that Houllier is in charge for. MUZOMETER says A VILLA.

Post Match Review:
Emile Heskey scored a late header as Gerard Houllier won his first Premier League game as Aston Villa manager. Stewart Downing put Villa in front by converting a teasing ball across the face of goal from Marc Albrighton. Wolves equalised after the break when Matt Jarvis's cross from the right eluded everybody before nestling into the bottom corner. Wolves looked the most likely to score before Heskey headed brilliantly into the bottom corner to snatch victory. The goal fully vindicated Houllier's decision to hand Heskey his first Premier League start in six months.

MUZOMETER PREDICTION: ASTON VILLA RESULT: ASTON VILLA CORRECT. NO scorers.

Pre Match Review:
MUZOMETER says DRAW.

Post Match Review:
Plucky Stoke grabbed an unlikely away win thanks to James Perchs unlucky late own goal in a match that finally sprang into life at St James Park. Kevin Nolans penalty put Newcastle ahead after a rash Robert Huth error. But the visitors radically improved in the second half as Kenwyne Jones finally headed home after hitting the woodwork twice in rapid succession. With both sides pressing for a late winner, Stokes got the break when youngster Perch accidentally nodded in. In truth, Newcastle - who came into the match off the back of stunning away wins at Everton and Chelsea - will consider themselves unfortunate to lose, but Tony Pulis Stoke team were rewarded for adopting a far more ambitious attacking policy after the break.

MUZOMETER PREDICTION: DRAW RESULT: STOKE. INCORRECT. Kenwyn Jones Correct.
